Spokane Wins First Place in 2020 AMT Competition

Another successful AMT Skills Competition is in the books as Spokane Community College wins first place, Big Bend Community College wins second place, and Everett Community College wins third place.  Congratulations to all winners and competitors.  This year's competition was the largest to date, featuring 10 different competitive events.  To make things even better, Horizon Airlines is sponsoring free air travel and lodging for the first place team to participate in the national Aerospace Maintenance Competition in Dallas TX, 28-30 April 2020. This will give Spokane Community College a chance to test their skills against the top AMT schools in the nation.

2020 AMT Competition Moves To New Level

We are pleased to announce that Alaska Airlines has generously agreed to sponsor a trip to the 2020 Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AMC) for the first place wining team from our 2020 AMT Competition in Puyallup, WA.  This national competition is held annually in conjunction with Aviation Week's MRO Americas conference and exhibition.  The 2020 AMC competition is April 28th - 30th, in Dallas, TX.  Alaska's sponsorship will cover airfare and hotel costs for 6 competition team members and 1 team leader.  The AMC competition consists of six competition categories:

  • Commercial Aviation
  • General Aviation
  • Space
  • Education
  • Military
  • Repair and Manufacturing

Thanks to Alaska Airlines, our first place winning team will have an opportunity to compete in the Education category against the best AMT students in the nation.

2020 AMT Competition

The 2020 AMT Competition is just 3 months away.  The date of this year's competition is Saturday, 22 February.  Now is the time to start organizing your team for this years competition.

Although the 2020 competition events and awards are still being determined, you can view last years events on the AMT Competition website (  Information on 2020 competition events will published to the website as soon as it is available.

Aviation Maintenance News

The 2019 AMT Competition is now 13 Weeks away. Our website is available for current news and updates on the maintenance competition and aviation conference.

We are looking forward to having teams from across the Pacific Northwest represent their schools in this year’s competition. The 2019 competition events and awards are still being determined however last years events and winners can be found on the AMT Competition website.

As we build up our sponsorship and teams register the website will be updated with the most current information on competition events and awards.
